Described by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as "glowing from the inside" Mexican-German soprano Ana Schwedhelm studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Cardiff International Academy of Voice and Conservatorio Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia, Spain. Recent engagements include Pamina at the Teatro Principal in Vitoria, Elle/ La Voix Humaine for the new production by award-winning filmmaker Alonso Ruizpalacios in Mexico City, and the title roles in Rusalka and La Belle Hélène in München's Pasinger Fabrik. A passionate recitalist, 2017 highlights include appearances with Rubén Fernández Aguirre at the Granada International Festival of Music and Dance, Música Sur chamber Music Festival and Palacio de las Vizcaínas. She has sung under the batons of Carlos Miguel Prieto, José Areán, Trevor Pinnock and Laurence Cummings.
